This position provides outreach and training support to an academic research Center focused on injury and violence prevention. This position will report directly to the Director of Outreach and Training (DOT). The primary purpose of this position is two-fold: 1) create and deliver effective communications multimedia (websites, fact sheets, infographics, short videos, Powerpoint presentations, social media messaging, traditional press releases) that assist researchers and practice community leaders in translating the scientific knowledge into effective injury and violence prevention programs, policy, and practice using messaging strategies that are informed by health behavior theory and public health principles; 2) collaborate with the DOT and others in the Center on the delivery of high-quality training programs that build prevention efficacy and capacity in community-based groups and provide transformative learning experiences for students, researchers, and non-academic audiences.

Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Salary: $47,000 - $65,457
