Organizational Development

SAVIR Organizational Development Committee

Charges of this Committee are:

The charge of the Organizational Development Committee is to create an organization inclusive of researchers working in diverse fields and their research institutions.  The Organizational development consists of two subcommittees:  Sustainability and Membership.

Sustainability SubCommittee

Charges:

  • Coordinate SAVIR fundraising efforts
  • Seek opportunities for SAVIR partnerships, collaborations, and activities

Activities:

  • Maintain a list of injury professionals and contact with updates on a regular basis
  • Identify individuals, foundation and industry partners to help meet SAVIR goals and contact on a regular basis
  • Contact relevant public leaders to educate them of SAVIR and its mission
  • Obtain a Champion to speak on SAVIR issues
  • Develop and disseminate a compelling case statement regarding SAVIR activities and accomplishments
  • Develop a SAVIR financial report for use in grant applications

Membership SubCommittee

Charges:

  • Increase and sustain SAVIR membership

 Activities:

  • Develop plans to recruit researchers, research centers and organizations as active members.
  • Promote inclusion of a diverse membership in SAVIR and the field.
