Age Disparity

Young persons 15-24 years of age had the highest initial emergency department visit rate for injury in 2004-2005, 1,484.8 visits per 10,000 population – more than twice the rate for adults 65-74 years of age, who had the lowest rate, 653.9 visits per 10,000 population.
